Our fabricated steel bollards are the industry standard for protecting critical infrastructure, equipment, and pedestrian walkways. Built in local steel shops using heavy-wall Schedule 40 pipe, these bollards are designed to withstand significant impact, making them essential for commercial loading docks, gas stations, and storefront security in Trinidad and Tobago.
Heavy-Duty Construction & Specs
- Sch 40 Steel Pipe: The 5-inch diameter Schedule 40 pipe provides superior structural rigidity and resistance to bending compared to lighter-gauge tubing.
- Reinforced Baseplate: Each bollard is fully welded to a 12″ x 12″ square steel baseplate. At 1/2″ thick, the plate ensures a stable, high-strength connection to the ground that won’t warp or pull under stress.
- Precision Welding: The pipe-to-plate junction is fully MIG welded for maximum durability and weather resistance.
Height Options for Every Application
Choose the height that best suits your site safety requirements:
- 36-inch (3ft): Ideal for standard wheel stops and curb-side protection in parking lots.
- 42-inch (3.5ft): The standard height for pedestrian safety barriers and equipment guarding.
- 48-inch (4ft): Maximum visibility and protection for industrial loading docks and high-traffic corners.
Finish & Installation Requirements
- Red Oxide Primer: These bollards arrive with a professional shop-primed red finish. This serves as a protective base layer, but a final finishing coat of industrial-grade paint (typically safety yellow or high-visibility red) is required after installation to protect against the tropical climate.
- Mounting: Designed for surface mounting on existing concrete surfaces. For maximum security, we recommend using 3/4″ heavy-duty expansion anchors or chemical anchors (sold separately). Professional installation is required to ensure the structural integrity of the barrier.
